Coleto Creek Park will host a low altitude fireworks display at the reservoir starting at 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2009. Coleto Creek Park is located midway between Victoria and Goliad off of Highway 59.
A day-use entry fee into the park is $8 per vehicle. Coleto Creek Park is the public access to the 3,100-acre reservoir. The park offers picnic areas that include picnic tables and barbecue grills, a marked swimming area, a boat launch, 200-foot lighted fishing pier, sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, hike and bike trials, group-use pavilions, and overnight camping facilities.

The GBRA was established by the Texas Legislature in 1933 as a water conservation and reclamation district. GBRA provides stewardship for the water resources in its 10-county statutory district, which begins near the headwaters of the Guadalupe and Blanco rivers, ends at San Antonio Bay, and includes Kendall, Comal, Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Gonzales, DeWitt, Victoria, Calhoun, and Refugio counties.
