GBRA Sets Holiday Schedule

SEGUIN — In observance of the holiday season, the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) and Laboratory will be closed beginning Friday, Dec. 22, 2017. Regular business hours will resume at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017.

To adjust for the closure, GBRA Laboratory staff will adhere to the following schedule for anyone who plans to drop off microbiological samples such as total coliform, E. coli, and fecal coliform:

For all BOD/CBOD/HACH CBOD samples —

Dec. 18-19: Collect and drop-off samples under the regular schedule through 2 p.m. Dec. 19

Dec. 19:All BODS/CBOD samples will be set-up

Dec. 20-21: Lab will not accept any samples (any samples that are received will incur a holiday fee of four times the regular charge per sample).

For all microbiological samples (total coliform, HPC, E. coli and fecal coliform), please review the following schedule —

            Dec. 18:Collect samples under the regular schedule

            Dec. 19:Collect samples under the regular schedule.

Dec. 20:GBRA will notaccept any HPC samples; however, we will only accept E.coli, fecal coliform and total coliform.

Dec. 21:GBRA will not accept any samples (any samples that are received will incur a holiday fee of four times the regular charge per sample).

The GBRA Laboratory will resume accepting samples Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017.If there are any concerns regarding the December holiday schedule, please feel free to contact the laboratory project manager at 830-379-5822 ext. 256.

The GBRA was established by the Texas Legislature in 1933 as a water conservation and reclamation district. GBRA provides stewardship for the water resources in its 10-county statutory district, which begins near the headwaters of the Guadalupe and Blanco rivers, ends at San Antonio Bay, and includes Kendall, Comal, Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Gonzales, DeWitt, Victoria, Calhoun, and Refugio counties.
