A Gathering Place
GBRA’s Hydro division maintains the Nolte Island Park area adjacent to Lake Nolte in Seguin, between Nolte Dam and the powerhouse. Located just five miles outside of Seguin, Texas on FM 466, Nolte Island Park is one of GBRA’s favored park facilities. Nolte Island was created by GBRA to facilitate construction of the hydroelectric plant at that site. Among the many oak and pecan trees are two pavilions available for rent by the public.
Both sites can be reserved for group or special events. Nolte Island is used by many for family reunions, weddings, birthdays, company picnics and various community gatherings, such as the Annual Texas Lineman’s Rodeo.
For reservations and pricing information, please call the Seguin office at 830-379-5822.
