Kevin Patteson – General Manager / CEO
General Manager and CEO Kevin Patteson is responsible for leading the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) – overseeing more than 200 employees across 29 different operation divisions and assets of nearly $250 million. Patteson manages day-to-day operations – including the delivery of water and wastewater services to customers across the Guadalupe River Basin – under the direction of the nine-member Board of Directors. Patteson works closely with the Board of Directors and staff to establish and implement long-range strategic plans and initiatives while planning for and supporting community growth and development throughout GBRA’s 10-county statutory district. The Governor-appointed Board of Directors appointed Patteson as the sixth General Manager and CEO in GBRA history in May 2016.
Patteson has more than 20-years experience in resource management, politics, federal legislation, and regulatory compliance. Prior to GBRA, Patteson served as Executive Administrator for the Texas Water Development Board (2013-16), Executive Director of the Texas Office of State and Federal Relations (2011-13) and was a special advisor on federal initiatives for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (2008-11). He also previously served as Deputy General Counsel for the Texas Workforce Commission (2008) and was Assistant General Counsel/Ethics Advisor for the Office of the Governor (2002-08).
