The GBRA Scholarship application deadline has passed and we are no longer accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year. Counselors will be notified of scholarship recipients so that arrangements can be made for award ceremonies. If the campus does not have an awards ceremony, scholarship recipients will be notified in May 2025.

The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) invites the high school seniors of the following 10 counties in GBRA’s service area: Caldwell, Calhoun, Comal, DeWitt, Hays, Kendall, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Refugio, and Victoria to apply to the GBRA Scholarship Program. Scholarship winners will receive up to $ 2500 awarded to their first semester of a four-year or two-year university, community college, technical or trade school.
If chosen as a recipient, scholarships will be awarded as a one-time tuition reimbursement to institution of choice. Recipients must provide proof of enrollment in minimum 12 credit hours per semester. GBRA scholarships are awarded without regard to race, sex, gender, national origin, disability or religion. In the event the scholarship recipient receives financial assistance from other sources that would constitute a full scholarship, the recipient shall notify the GBRA Scholarship Coordinator and relinquish rights to the scholarship. The scholarship shall then be awarded to the runner-up, if that applicant continues to meet all criteria.
GBRA’s goal is to encourage and assist students to fulfill their educational endeavors. The following factors will be considered in the evaluation of each application.

The essay portion will be assessed according to content and form by a selection committee chosen by GBRA. Applicants are encouraged to spend an adequate amount of time and effort preparing their statement based on prompt provided in application form.
Applicants are required to upload their cover letter and resume. This is an opportunity to highlight their high school involvement, achievements and/or occupations.
