Lake Wood Park is owned and operated by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority.

This quiet, scenic campground is approximately 5 miles west of Gonzales off Highway 90-A, on FM 2091 South. GBRA Park Rangers and resident park hosts provide professional management and 24 hour on-site supervision.

Visitors to the 35-acre park enjoy a wide variety of well-maintained facilities, including picnic sites in the shady pecan grove, a children's playground, tent camping areas and full hook-up RV sites. The park store stocks food and camping necessities for the convenience of our guests.


Lake Wood Park is located approximately 5 miles west of Gonzales on U.S. Highway 90-A. Turn on FM 2091 South at the Lake Wood sign and head south for about 3 miles to the Park Headquarters Building.

Park Store

The Lake Wood Park headquarters and store is where you obtain your permit, either for day entrance or camping. The Park Store stocks various camping and RV supplies, snack items, drinks, toys, firewood, charcoal and a small inventory of food items.


Full Hook-up

  • 16 full hook-up RV sites
  • Back-in; will accommodate any length trailer
  • Located in shady pecan grove
  • Water, sewer, and 30-amp electrical service
  • No sewer use dump station in the park

Tent Camping

  • Developed sites include tables, grills, firepits, and access to drinking water. Some have electricity.
  • Primitive sites also available
